What is Alpha?
The Alpha
Course is an introduction to the Christian faith that runs in churches all over
the UK. It's a great opportunity to ask the "Big Questions" of life in
an informal and friendly atmosphere. It runs a twice a year at St Francis.
What Happens?
There are ten
weekly sessions. Each begins with a meal together, followed by watching a DVD
talk on a particular theme. Discussion then takes place in small groups on what
has been presented.
Who attends?
The Alpha course
is open to anyone, with or without a faith. Some who attend may be Christians who
wish to "refresh" their knowledge, for others it may all be completely
new. All are welcome.
What's the cost?
There's no
particular cost involved, we suggest a small donation for the meal that takes
place at each session.
Where does it happen?
The
Alpha course takes place at St Francis Vicarage, Parkway.
